Fontana Park - Fontana, Ca

The City of Fontana raises the bar for regional parks and community centers in the Inland Empire with the 38-acre Fontana Park. While the park does include an aquatic center and skateboard park, BMLA also wanted to emphasize passive areas that allow for community gathering. As a result the park has a non-traditional multi-tiered play area, a formal promenade, open playfields, and a 43,000 square foot community center.

We served as the lead consultant on Fontana Park and it is currently our largest budgeted park project at $60 million. One of the features of the park is the 2 acre tot lot, designed with rubberized hills for climbing and concrete animals of all kinds to capture a child’s imagination.
